Clear guidance on hormones, real support for weight loss, and a personalized strategy to address the cortisol and inflammation that can make perimenopause and menopause harder.

Many HRT clinics start with a prescription. We start with you. Along with targeted labs, our in-person visits include two quick, noninvasive measurements: BIA (bioelectrical impedance analysis), which shows your muscle, fat and hydration, and HRV (heart rate variability), which shows how well your nervous system handles stress. Together they give us a clear picture of your body composition and how you're coping with stress, so your plan, including whether MHT makes sense, is built around you. No guesswork. No generic advice. Just real answers—and results you actually notice.

Biology, Optimized.

Working with us starts with a $450 initial visit · virtual or in person in Longmont. Labs and optional genetic testing are priced separately.
We're a fee-for-service practice and don't bill insurance. We provide a superbill you can submit for out-of-network reimbursement.

The Meaning Behind Avra

Avra (pronounced AY-vrah) is rooted in the language of life.

While not a direct translation, it draws from ancient Hebrew origins connected to living, life, and vitality — a reflection of something deeper than just physical health. It speaks to the idea that life is not only sustained, but expressed — through energy, clarity, resilience, and purpose.

At Avra Health, this meaning guides everything we do.

What Our Patients are Saying

"Dr. April has played a huge part in me being able to 'take my body back' from the clutches of perimenopause. Her knowledgeable assessment of the GeneRx reports have provided insight I would have never been able to pinpoint on my own and this information regarding the balance of macros based on my genetic profile has been a game changer . . . "

What Our Patients are Saying

"Dr. April is absolutely the best. She integrates many facets of expertise and knowledge into her practice, and truly listens and takes her time, something I have found to be pretty rare in "traditional western medicine." The fascial manipulation work is fascinating and amazingly effective too. Don't think twice, see Dr. April!"

What Our Patients are Saying

I’ve always considered myself a generally healthy person. I understand the basics of nutrition—calories in vs. calories out—and have prioritized movement in my daily life through strength training, running, or cycling. But like many of us, I struggled with weight gain during COVID and had a hard time shedding it, despite my best efforts . . .

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you prescribe hormone therapy (MHT/HRT)?

Yes, when it's appropriate and it's what you want. Kyrie Anderson, WHNP, prescribes in Colorado, and Dr. April Graham prescribes in Arizona and Washington. We start by looking for root causes (labs, body composition, stress physiology, sleep and nutrition), then talk through all your options: hormone therapy, non-hormonal approaches, or both. The choice is always yours.

Do I need genetic testing?

No, it's optional. Some women find it adds useful detail, such as how their body processes estrogen. You can get excellent care without it.

What are BIA and HRV?

Two quick, painless measurements we take at in-person visits. BIA (bioelectrical impedance analysis) shows your muscle, fat and hydration. HRV (heart rate variability) shows how well your nervous system handles stress. Tracking them over time shows whether what we're doing is working. If you're seen virtually, we'll try to refer you to a practitioner near you for BIA and HRV testing; that practitioner charges their own fee.

Do you take insurance?

We're a fee-for-service practice and don't bill insurance. We give you a superbill you can submit for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Most patients can pay with an HSA or FSA card, but plans vary, so check with yours.

Can I be seen virtually?

Yes. We offer virtual visits in Colorado, Arizona and Washington, and in-person visits in Longmont.

What does the first visit cost, and how do I book?

The initial visit is $450 for 60 minutes. Labs and optional genetic testing are priced separately. Book online or call (720) 617-0177.
